I fell in love with teaching whilst working as a teaching assistant after completing my degree in Fashion and Textile Design. I was inspired by my students’ curiosity and enjoyment of their learning to complete my PGCE in 2014. For the last four years I have worked in a secondary school in Luton where, as Subject Leader, I designed a curriculum to encourage independent exploration of creative thinking, and getting students to look at their world from new perspectives.
Outside of the classroom I am often found hiking up a mountain path or wondering around an art gallery. I love making things and working with different materials to create something, be it an outfit, a drawing, or learning a new skill altogether. I am looking forward to spending time on the lake and exploring everything this fantastic city has to offer.
This school is different to all others I have worked at because… BISC-SL provides students with an incredible variety of learning opportunities inside and outside of the classroom, enabling students to grow and achieve in an exciting and fun environment.
