My name is Sarena Marwah-Blanke and I grew up on the north side of Chicago, IL attending Gordon Technical College Prep where I played Soccer and Basketball. After high school I attended Michigan State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Postgrad I worked at Francis W. Parker School as a substitute teacher and athletics coach while studying for my Physical Education teaching license at DePaul University. I completed my student teaching in Physical Education at Francis W. Parker School.
I have coached 3 seasons of youth soccer and 2 seasons of youth basketball. I chose to study Physical Education because of my love for children and my passion for sports and living a healthy lifestyle. In my time when I am not coaching or teaching, I participate in local coed soccer and basketball leagues, travel to new places, and take fitness classes. I am excited to be teaching Physical Education at the British International School of Chicago and create an exciting and positive environment for students to thrive in while learning to lead healthy lifestyles. I look forward to having a positive impact on the students' growth and learning from the amazing faculty at the British International School.
