Secondary Science Lab Technician | Teaching Assistant

Before coming to work at BISC - South Loop, I worked as a direct support person and job coach to adults with intellectual disabilities. BISC South Loop is the first school that I have worked for. For my first two years here at South Loop, I worked in Primary key stages one and two as a learning assistant in the classrooms and as one-on-one support. Currently, I have joined the Secondary Science department as their lab technician and teaching assistant. It has been a joy getting to know the secondary staff and students as well as becoming familiar with the work of each key stage

I was born and raised in Detroit, MI, but I attended college in the western suburbs of Chicago. I fell in love with the city and stayed to further pursue music and teaching. My background is in the classical singing voice, and the science of it, and science in general, has always fascinated me. In what little free time I have, I enjoy reading, cooking, swimming, and making music. I also enjoy teaching private voice lessons.
