I made the decision to move to Chicago because British International School of Chicago puts students' love for learning at the heart of everything it does, and this is something that really appealed to me.
Once I gained by bachelor's degree from Lancaster University, I completed my postgraduate certificate of education (PGCE) at Edge Hill University and taught in Manchester and Cheshire. Following completion of my PGCE, I began teaching in Milton Keynes, where I taught History from Key Stages 3-5 as well as both the International Baccalaurate (IB) Standard and IB Higher Level.
Outside of work, I am a keen traveler. I have been fortunate enough to visit many different places over the past few years; however, I do not feel that I have yet scratched the surface. I hope to be able to travel around the Untied States as well as some neighbouring countries! I love spending time with my friends and their new families, as well as my close-knit family in Warrington.
