Soak up the sun and sizzling air at BISC South Loop's annual summer fair! We hope you'll join us from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, June 2 to shop, eat and play -- rain or shine.

Proceeds benefit our friends at Chicago Commons.

  • About Chicago Commons

We are proud to support Chicago Commons! For more than 120 years, Chicago Commons’ mission has been to partner with individuals, families, and communities to overcome poverty, discrimination, and isolation. Proceeds from the Summer Fair will support its programs designed to help children, families and seniors go further to live richer, more fulfilling lives.

  • Activities, Games and Stalls

Enjoy cupcake decorating, a bouncy castle, photo booth, face painting, and much, much more. On top of that, there will be items for sale, like short story books written by Middle Schoolers, and artwork by Primary children.

  • Food

Stop by the Madhatters Tea Party Cafe for traditional British fare, like tea with strawberries and cream.

  • Bake-Off Competition

Are you a baking rockstar? It’s time to whip up your best creation.

The Charity Link Committee is delighted to announce the second annual Great British Baking Competition. This year the focus is cupcakes!

The flavor and decoration are at your discretion and limited only by your imagination. Judges will evaluate entries on taste, presentation and creativity. Students may compete individually or as part of a team and will be grouped by age. Family members are welcome to enter the competition in the adult group.

All the cupcakes will be available for purchase at the Summer Fair, with 100% of proceeds supporting Chicago Commons. Winners will be announced during the event.

  • Silent Auction & Raffle

You'll have the chance to take home a variety of amazing silent auction and raffle prizes. Watch this space for a preview of the items.

We hope you'll consider making a donation or helping obtain contributions from local businesses.

  • Community Cookbook

We're excited to compile our first-ever school community cookbook! It will be available for purchase at the Summer Fair. Please share your favorite family recipe with us by Monday, May 8. Students, family members and staff are invited to contribute.

  • Payment

    Entrance is free!

The Summer Fair is a cash only event. Most activities, shopping stalls and food items start at $1, so we encourage you to bring small bills. There will also be games for 25 cents.

  • Volunteer

We're seeking family members to help set up, run booths and clean up. Thank you in advance!
