Staff and students dressed up in costumes from a range of countries to celebrate the wonderful diversity of cultures we have in the world. At the morning assembly, the choir, students and parents from China and India entertained with touching musical performances. The schools Headteacher, Matthew Shephard, spoke about the United Nations, what it has done for the world, and how it has impacted our lives in a positive way. Students then moved on to take part in culture-based activities that teachers had prepared for the day.The schools gym was brimming with food and decorations, made by hardworking parents who spent the day stamping UN Day passports, handing out food, and speaking to children as they passed by their stalls. It was a day filled with learning and experiencing new tastes and smells; an exciting day for all.
