The morning consisted of the Key Stage 1 segment, which saw students from Year 1 and 2 competing in a range of events, with the focus being on fun and participation. Students each took part in a 40m sprint and hurdles race before rotating around five different 'fun and field' stations - space hoppers, obstacle course, water bucket relay, vortex throw and target throw. In the afternoon, for our KS2 students (Year 3, 4 and 5) the competition got a little more serious. Students competed for points in their houses for the annual primary sports day trophy. All students participated in a 60m sprint, 60m hurdles, 20m sack race, vortex throw and shotput before the 200m dash, relay and inter-house tug-of-war. A huge congratulations to the Normans who were Primary School Sports Day winners for the second year running. The weather was glorious and we had a fantastic turnout from parents supporting and cheering the children and their houses. Thank you to all involved and well done to all our little athletes!
