This month, they made their own dinosaur fossils using salt dough to create realistic looking fossils. For Maths, they compared height and length of the dinosaurs using standard and non-standard units of measurements. The students came up with really good ideas of how they can use pencils, erasers, blocks, paper, dominoes and cubes to measure their dinosaurs. The students investigated and compared a T-Rex’s footprint to their own footprint! They also wanted to know how many students will fit into a T-Rex’s footprint and the answer was… all 18 of them!
During UN Day, the students had great fun learning about the different countries and participating in activities that take place in those countries.
This week, Year 1 have been very excited about our new integrated curriculum…Moon Zoom! It will definitely be out of this world!
