This Thursday saw some very excited students eagerly anticipating their A-level and IGCSE exam results. With typically excellent results, that anticipating soon turned to relief and celebration as these results were released on 4th March 2021

For one student in particular, this celebration was extra special as Elena was awarded a grade 9 in her Maths IGCSE.

What makes this all the more remarkable is that Elena is half way through Year 8 and only became a teenager a couple of months ago! As part of our commitment to personal pathways, many of our students do take their IGCSEs and A-levels early (Elena’s own brothers both took their exams a year or two ahead of their peers, and her elder brother, Jackson, received his offer of a place at Cambridge University earlier this month, but Elena is, by some way, our youngest student yet to take the Maths IGCSE

Elena joined The British School of Nanjing as a Year 3 student in 2015. To achieve such an outstanding grade reflects on her hard work and dedication, as well as the efforts of her teachers over the last 6 years. We are looking forward to seeing Elena continue to blaze a bright trail as she progresses through BSN!
