Madinat Khalifa Secondary Headlines | Monday 12 November

Dear Parents,

There has been a lot of student participation in numerous events this week.  A development that has come from the students themselves is ‘Compass Post’.  This is a student led magazine and the first issue will be available soon.  In it they are discussing issues such as mental health, fictional stories, how to revise correctly and the Compass Cat Column.  They are keen to have some social media training to take to Instagram to poll students on issues that affect them, and how as a school we can support them further.

We had a very successful IB Parent Teacher Consultation evening last week, and look forward to seeing the parents of KS3 students on 19 November.  There is also a Year 11 Parent forum in the morning of the same day.  Last week saw the Friends of Compass meeting at MK for joint Secondary and Primary.  We will be meeting again in November to discuss how we can work together regarding school events and fund raising.  Please contact myself or Laura Kane if you would like to participate in this.

Yours sincerely,

Tom Douch
