Dear Parents,
International Week
As many will have heard me mention before, we at Compass International School Doha are very proud of the fact out school truly is International as both students, families and staff are from many countries and culture.
International week is a great opportunity to celebrate this fact. The week kicked off with student presentations about their ‘home’ country. It was fantastic to see the student talk about their home cultures with such pride and in a variety of interesting and engaging ways. Posters, PowerPoints, quizzes, practical activities, models and a wide range of artefacts brought the presentations to life.
The remainder of this week sees each class exploring and finding out more about a country from each continent including Spain, Italy, Scotland, China, Japan, India, Kenya, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Peru, Papua New Guinea and Australia. This will culminate with a colourful and lively International Parade where each class will showcase their learning. This will take place on Thursday morning at 7:45 am and all parents are welcome to attend.
International Breakfast
The grand finale of the week will be the ever-popular MK International Breakfast, taking place on Friday between 9:00 to 11:00 am. Many thanks to those of you have signed up for your countries stall if you haven’t yet it is not too late and you are encouraged to speak to receptionists about joining a group. In addition to a culinary tour around the world, we have a number of performances scheduled from the various school choirs, instrumental groups and dancers. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

And finally… one last chance to complete our parent survey.
To assist with the school’s continued improvement we would really appreciate it if you could take five (5) minutes of your time to visit the link below and complete our NAE Parent Engagement Survey. We really do value your input and use this to guide new initiatives to develop our school further and to give our students the best possible experience both inside and out of the classroom.
