Thank you to all parents who have signed up to meet the teacher. If you were unable to meet today then please email the class teacher to arrange a meeting. This should take place as soon as possible. We hope parents leave today feeling well informed with regard to progress and areas for development. Please stay in regular contact with the school as it is important that we continue our conversations.
Once again, thank you to all mums and dads who attended last week’s workshops. All workshops have been really well attended this year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank not only the Milepost 2 and Milepost 3 teams for their informative, engaging workshops but all our teams who have worked hard to provide activities which will enable parents to better understand their child’s learning.
In Thursday’s Dutch Book Week assembly our community celebrated Dutch literature with a specific focus on travel. It was wonderfully impressive to see our youngest pupils participate in their mother tongue. The rap in Year 1 was a particular highlight and the audience loved the dancing and actions during the grand finale. Well done, to our fantastic team of students and teachers.
Our Year 3 to Year 6 Indoor Athletics teams have been busy over the last few weeks, travelling to English Modern School for the first round of the QPPSSA competitions. The students, once again impressed the crowds proving to be strong competition for the other schools. We are proud to announce that although our students competed against over eleven top schools in Doha, Year 6 finished in fourth place, Year 5 and Year 3 both placed in sixth place, and Year 4 came third bringing home our first medals of the academic year. Well done to all our wonderful athletes and teachers.
Parents, please remember that next week is the school’s half term break. Children will start their studies once again on Sunday 27 October.
Have a fantastic week.
