Meet Harrison Small
Curiosity and a desire to enquire is one key to success. Hank (Harrison) Small is always eager to delve deeper into a subject. He is interested in topical events and has a good general knowledge about current affairs. He is able to make connections within subjects and between disciplines to form a logical conclusion. He has the imagination to be able to conceive something illogical that, like the best scientists, writers and artists may lead to something new and unique. He is mature and sensible, willing to learn from others and to engage in ideas, compromising or standing his ground based on good justification and sound reason. He has initiative, a sense of humour and a friendly, unassuming disposition.
Hank makes the most of opportunities offered in lessons. He is consistent and reliable in his studies and appreciates the valuable experience of working on a daily basis with teachers, who spark and encourage his potential, and with students from so many nationalities, who are able to enrich his cultural understanding.
Hank is a role model for aspiring A* students and IB graduates.
Meet Bart Roebers
IB Student, Bart Roebers, was presented with a certificate from the Cambridge International Examinations group for being the Highest Scorer in Qatar for the IGCSE in Dutch Language.
Bart studied for his IGCSE examinations at our Compass International School, Madinat Khalifa in Doha. He was delighted to receive his award at a special Achievement Celebration Assembly held at the school to mark his achievement alongside other students in the secondary school at Madinat Khalifa. On receiving his award form School Principal, Dr Terry Creissen, Bart said he was surprised but very pleased to receive this.
Bart is now studying for his International Baccalaureate Diploma at the school. Let’s see if he can achieve similar success next year in his final examinations.
