As your child's education at Compass International School Doha continues, they will broaden their study whilst broadening their minds.
We use the English National Curriculum as the basis for our classes between ages 11 and 14. The National Curriculum for England enables students to confidently transition from primary education to the IGCSE, and develops the skills and confidence your child will need to thrive.
The aim of the curriculum is to expand the student's knowledge of a wide range of subjects, while encouraging them to analyse and make connections between them. Our curriculum at lower secondary level builds on your child's knowledge and gives them the tools and confidence to critique what they hear and see, and to embark on their own learning outside of the classroom.
As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, Compass International School Doha follows an approach to learning that stresses that every child has the capacity to succeed, regardless of their starting point. Your child will be challenged to work closely with others, inspired to take leadership roles, and encouraged to develop the assuredness and ambition that transforms promising minds into future achievers.
Students are challenged to explore problems and concepts from a number of different perspectives, to be aware of ambiguity and complexity, to think creatively, and to be open to new approaches and solutions.
The National Curriculum is a course that encompasses English, maths, science, history, geography, information communication technology, music, citizenship, art and design, physical education and modern foreign languages. Your child will learn to apply techniques learned in one subject to several others, and will be able to learn at a pace that they find comfortable. They will receive personalised attention from our skilled and caring teachers.
We strive to help every student reach an exceptional level of numeracy and literacy. We encourage our learners to be internationally-minded and to respect all cultures and experiences. We believe that every child can build the confidence to excel, to work with others, and to lead where necessary.
