Every term we offer a different range of Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs), sport and after school activities for your child to enjoy, and to develop their skills. School trips also add to your child's learning.
Sport and PE Programmes
Our PE and Sport programmes are an important and compulsory part of our curriculum and include games, netball, football, basketball, gymnastics, athletics, dance and swimming amongst others.
We have our own specialist teachers and coaches for sport and swimming and bring in specialist coaches from our local partner organisations to lead lessons. Teachers will be in touch with further details about which day students will need kit / costumes for their P.E. and swim days so please make sure that the relevant kit / costume is in school on the right day. We regularly enter squads into local competitions.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Our Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs) vary from clubs to music, arts and culture, through to sports. No two terms offer the same combination of after school activities, and our teachers add new clubs all the time. We also work with external companies to provide additional activities. For some activities there is a small additional charge. Some of the ECAs offered in the past include drama, robotics, zumba, crafts, Eco Warriors, basketball, tennis, sailing and even ukelele club!
School Trips
An important part of the Curriculum is offering your child the ability not just to learn, but to see how their learning is relevant to their world and how their world is relevant to their learning. Taking your child out of the classroom and on to school visits and trips is therefore an important part of their learning experience. This includes regular day trips to local museums and attractions for our Year 1 to 6 students as well as international trips for Secondary students.
Residential Trips
Our Year 5 and Year 6 students also go on residential trips. This helps your child to develop independence and strong social skills, while also seeing the world.
