Born in Amsterdam, but grown up in Surinam, a small green country in the northern part of South America. My native language is Dutch. I also speak English, Surinamese, Sarnami Hindi and Urdu.
In 1991 my family and I moved to The Hague in The Netherlands for better study opportunities for me and my brothers. I have a master degree in Special Educational Needs and taught at a primary and secondary school in The Hague from 2002 till 2016.
In July 2016 I moved to Doha with my family. My kids joined CIS at Madinat Khalifa and followed the after school Dutch program at Gharaffa. I was very eager to teach again and offered to teach voluntary. In December 2017 I was given the opportunity to observe lessons to start teaching for a couple of hours in January 2018. Since then I am part of a wonderful team and surrounded by great kids.
