Originally from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, I graduated from the University of Brighton in 2007 and took up my first teaching job in England, working as a School Sports Coordinator. In 2011 I started teaching here in Qatar (in Dukhan) and I have spent the last 2 years right here in Doha. My very enjoyable time here has enabled me to complete my Masters in Education with Bath University, as well as gain a wealth of experience working with children from different cultures and backgrounds.
I have already had the opportunity to work with the Cross Country and Girls’ Swimming Team from Compass International School, Gharaffa. The children, staff and parents that I have worked with have been so incredibly welcoming and friendly and I am now very happy to be part of the Nord Anglia Education family. It will also be lovely to no longer feel jealous of all of the amazing professional development opportunities that my husband has access to due to already being a part of Nord Anglia Education!
Life here in Qatar has given me so much already that it is impossible not to look forward to the next chapter here in the city. In 2014, I married my wonderful husband, whom I met whilst working in Dukhan. We live in Doha with our 3 dogs: Royal (a cheeky Husky), Audi (a loving German Shepherd) and Lacey (a gorgeous Collie that we rescued from outside of the Gharaffa campus). We are also incredibly excited to be expecting our first child this summer. Outside of school I particularly enjoy running recreationally, as well as playing netball in the local league at the Doha Rugby Club.
