Early Years 2 Teacher

I am from Belfast in the North of Ireland and graduated from Stranmillis University College, Queen’s University Belfast in Primary Teaching. I completed my BEd degree with a specialisation in outdoor learning. My experience and interests also include behaviour support and diversity in the classroom. I have lived and taught abroad in Malta and here in Doha for the past two years.

Compass International School Doha and the Nord Anglia group interested me due to the many different types of students that I would have the pleasure to teach. My interest and training in diverse classrooms has allowed me to see the benefits of multicultural classrooms for both students and staff. After teaching in Gharaffa’s Early Years Department for the last two years I am looking forward to my move to the new Themaid Campus.

Outside of school, I enjoy travelling and exploring different places and cultures. The opportunities to visit new places was what attracted me to living in the Middle East. I hope that I can continue to explore this part of the world during my time in Doha.
