Stephanie McMillan

PE Teacher and Year 7 Form Tutor

I grew up on the beautiful south coast of England in Dorset. I continued my seaside education and graduated from Brighton University in 2013 with QTS is Physical Education, opting for a Dance specialist route as this has long been a passion of mine. I have taught in a number of private schools in London over my first five years of teaching and have quickly climbed to being Head of Girls Sport at a school in England's home of Rugby, Twickenham.

In early 2018 I was ready for a change, and ready to escape the seemingly never ending cold winters of London. Having visited Qatar a handful of times and with friends raving about working internationally a move to Doha appealed as a great next step in my career. Compass International School Doha appealed in particular due to the collaboration with The Julliard School and the ability to try and build on these within the PE and Dance time available.

Away from work, sports is my passion. I have been dancing for a long time and had the opportunity to work for a Professional Dance company whilst at university and with a professional cast for the London Olympics. When I moved to London I took up Hockey and fell in love with the sport. Any way to get out and about, meet new people and socialise through sporting activities and I am there. I am looking forward to the challenges and adventures that my international move are no doubt going to throw at me.
