Global Classroom is unique to Nord Anglia Education schools for students in Year 4 and above. It provides a way for your child to connect with their fellow students and invited experts around the world. It inspires innovation, collaboration and leadership. It does this by nurturing and enriching critical, creative and analytical thinking. This empowers your child to develop and articulate their own views and opinions.
Global Classroom has three facets:
- An online learning space. This is a self-guided e-learning community where your child can choose the activities that they wish to participate in from debates and challenges to discussions with experts.
- An annual in-school challenge where your child is given access to world leading experts to develop their team building and creative skills. In 2011 our students around the world were inspired by London-based art company - Edge of Arabia - to create an in-school mural. In 2012 world renowned Pineapple Dance Studio inspired a global dance competition.
- The annual Summit, which brings together representatives from our schools for an in-person gathering. This has included opportunities to participate in forums with policy makers and influencers. In 2014 representatives from our schools will have the opportunity to participate in an expedition to Tanzania.
The benefit to you and your child
Many schools lay claim to being an "international" school. However, in some cases this extends no further than learning a local language.
We believe that your child will benefit most by having a truly international experience. Our schools span the world from North America to Europe to the Middle East to South East Asia. So while their school will be in Dubai and their curriculum will come from England, their learning experience will come from around the world.
Global Classroom helps develop a global conscience while also developing skills that enrich and extend their learning experience and set them on a path for future success. This in turn prepares them to live, work and study anywhere in the world. And should you choose to relocate to another city where we have a school, you and your child will already be part of that community.
