I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher specialising in Early Years. I am now in my fifth year teaching at NAS Dubai and it has been an amazing experience to be part of the founding team. I am thrilled to be returning to the EYFS team this year.

Prior to teaching in Dubai I taught in a Manchester school as a Reception teacher for five years and have been working with children in various settings for more than ten years. I hold a BA (honours) degree in Primary Education and a Masters in Teaching.

Throughout my teaching career I have worked in the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have experience of working with children with a wide range of learning needs and abilities. These experiences have enabled me to develop a complex range of skills, which means I am successfully able to adapt my teaching to ensure that all children’s individual needs are met.

My personal ethos is centred on helping children to become independent, confident and curious learners by providing relevant and practical experiences. I believe children learn best when they are interested and excited to learn. In order for this to take place I aim to build warm and positive relationships with children where they feel safe, secure and happy to explore in collaboration with others.

When I am not teaching I enjoy socialising with friends, exploring and travelling to new places. As my adventure in Dubai continues I hope to tick off many more destinations.
