My first teaching post was at an ‘Outstanding’ Special Needs school in the UK, where I worked across the key stages, from EYFS through to Key Stage 3. It was during those initial 4 years that I worked with a wide variety of children and needs. I worked with children with autism, dyspraxia, dyslexia, dysgraphia, children with emotional and social needs, behavioural and physical disabilities.
I then went on to work in a range of International schools around the world, including both the UAE and China, where I worked with children with EAL and held workshops on dealing with cultural differences.
I have been working as a Year 2 classroom teacher in NAS Dubai for the past 3 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Although I was very sad to leave Year 2, I am personally looking forward to the challenges that the new role will bring. I am passionate about creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment that allows each child to reach their potential.
I am very much looking forward to joining Personalised Learning, where I will be working alongside a well-established and professional team, who are wholly dedicated to the development and happiness of each individual child.
Bring on the academic year!
