After graduating from university with a BBA honours degree, I travelled and lived in various countries to broaden my experience both professionally and personally. I have lived in Canada, Pakistan and more recently in the UAE. This will be my seventh year living and working in Dubai and I continue to love learning more about the Arabic culture.
In 2013, I completed a Montessori Diploma as an Early Years teacher in an International school in Lahore. To further my professional development, I also completed a PGCE from the University of Nottingham and worked as a Primary German teacher, teaching both mother tongue and second language learners of German in accordance with the German and the IB second language curriculum in Dubai. This position has given me the amazing opportunity to familiarise myself with the IB curriculum across the Early Years and Primary phase and develop my students' knowledge and thirst for learning German. During my time there, I was successfully able to implement art projects, literature and musical performances into the German curriculum for my Years 1 to 6 classes. I am passionate about music, art and literature and love sharing my passion with my students in the hope to inspire and motivate them further.
I thoroughly enjoy working with children of all ages and am passionate about teaching in a mindful, respectful and nurturing environment. I have been especially attracted to teaching at NAS Dubai, as the school’s mission statement reflect my belief that all children should be encouraged to reach for their dreams, try something new and above all, to be ambitious.
Outside of work I love to spend time with my two beautiful children, and I enjoy cooking, swimming and reading.
