    Ms. F. Ryder

    Having completed an Honours degree and a PGCE at De Montfort University in UK, Ms Ryder has successfully taught internationally (in Europe, Africa and Middle East) as well as the UK for nearly 25 years.

    She has led English and literacy programmes across primary and secondary schools worldwide, and thus developed her interest in Additional Support Needs. She has held several leadership roles including deputy head and SENCo (Special Education Needs Co-ordinater) in a variety of educational settings.

    Having had experience working with children in several countries from many different nationalities and languages, Ms Ryder believes using a variety of communication strategies is key to her teaching style. She has a holistic approach to education and an extensive interest in the neuro-science behind learning.

    In her spare time, Ms Ryder loves exploring new countries, learning to play the djembe drum and goes sea kayaking.

    Mrs. K. Silver

    Mrs Silver graduated from the University of Newcastle and East Anglia. She has taught in a number of different countries including the UK, Dubai, New Zealand and in Hong Kong. She has mainly taught KS1 and has taken on a number of coordinator responsibilities during her career.

    Mr. Chan graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) in Australia and completed his Master of Education from The University of Western Australia. He has been an English Teacher in Hong Kong for the past ten years working in local primary schools across different school districts. He received his TESOL training from the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

    Miss Au is a graduate from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Primary English). With great enthusiasm for teaching and various international curricula, she served on Hong Kong Prospective Teacher Association and earned her TESOL and TEFL certification before entering the teaching profession. Her teaching career began in a primary school designated for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) children, notably with ethnic minority students, in which she facilitated their adaptation to the local education system and their integration into the community.

    Inspired by her high school teacher, she is committed to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for her students. She aims to energize her classroom by encouraging risk-taking in learning and creating a sense of community. She is dedicated to equity and firmly believes the power of developing meaningful relationships is critical to successful learning.

    Outside of school, she is a very keen and active sportswoman. She is particularly passionate about lacrosse, dragon boating, volleyball and is further developing her lacrosse skills in the Hong Kong (HPP) team.
