What are Social Thinking Skills?

13 October 2015

  • Social thinking skills

A very insightful presentation on Social Thinking Skills led by Mr. D. Sheehan, Additional Support Needs Teacher. He emphasised that teaching "social skills" is not enough. Often children must learn the why and how of their own and others' abilities to process information, which must be explicitly taught to them.  He also provided some practical strategies that can be easily used by parents. Please see the below for a copy of his presentation or email David.Sheehan@nais.hk">David.Sheehan@nais.hk if you have further questions.

Mr. Sheehan will be holding a similar parent workshop on Tuesday 1 December for Year 4 -8 parents. Please register with Ricky.Auyeung@nais.hk">Ricky.Auyeung@nais.hk
