We are thrilled and incredibly proud to have been selected as one of the winners in the 2021 International School Awards this year. To have received the Strategic Leadership Award ahead of such an impressive field of highly successful International school nominees is a significant accolade for our school.

Sitting alongside the recognition this award gives to the leadership of the school, this achievement highlights the unique strength present across our entire NAISHK staff community, and their collective ability to rapidly diversify, collaborate and imaginatively innovate in the face of significant adversity in order to protect and enhance each and every student’s individual learning journey when it was impossible to be physically present in school.

As one of the first schools globally to revert to virtual learning in 2019, ahead of the Covid-19 epidemic, we likened our challenge to having to “fixing the wings of the plane whilst in flight and without diagrams or a map”. The school leadership, teachers and support staff were able to embrace the unknown and lead the way in re-imagining what learning can look like when transported entirely into a virtual environment. At the time it was a challenging and inspiring journey for the school, and unfortunately a journey that we are all on as a school community as a result of ongoing restrictions here in Hong Kong. 

We have learnt so much within a very short period of time and much of that learning has provided us with new and exciting opportunities which will undoubtedly enhance what we are able to offer our students of all ages, their parents and the school community as a whole. Nord Anglia International School, Hong Kong is now well placed to embrace the “new normal” with renewed vigour and confidence, making maximum use of the new skills learnt both as a school and as part of our amazing global Nord Anglia Education community.
