    Mrs. M. Khalik

    Mrs. Khalik has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and a PGDE in Primary teaching from Moray House School of Education, the University of Edinburgh.  During the course of her teaching career she has taught English as an additional language, Foundation stage, Year 1 and Year 3 and now specialises in the area of learning support.  Mrs. Khalik enjoys extending her teaching experience across the globe and has taught in schools in Scotland, Egypt and China.

    Ms. K. Charlesworth

    Ms. Charlesworth graduated from Brunel University in 1996 with a BA (Hons) in Drama and completed a PGCE in English the following year. She taught English and Drama across all three key stages in UK secondary schools, holding the post of Deputy Head of English before specializing in EAL and obtaining a Trinity Cert. TESOL qualification.

    Since moving to Hong Kong in 2010, Ms. Charlesworth has held the position of EAL and Support Coordinator at an international secondary school, whilst continuing to teach English up to IGCSE. She has extensive experience in developing students’ English language skills, as well as supporting and managing students with a range of additional needs, including SLDs, ADHD and ASD. She is currently close to completing a Masters degree in English Studies at City University of Hong Kong.

He has been an English Teacher in Hong Kong for the past ten years working in local primary schools across different school districts. He received his TESOL training from the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

    Mr. Calderwood has been a NET (Native English Teacher) in Hong Kong for the past two years – working at an International Kindergarten for the first year and a local primary school for the second year.

    He graduated from Rhodes University, South Africa, with a Bachelor of Science Undergraduate Degree, as well as a Postgraduate Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Ichthyology. After which he completed his TEFL certificate and moved to Hong Kong to teach English.

    Mr Fawcett previously had a 24-year career as an engineer, teaching aspects of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, Literacy and Numeracy at tertiary level, in addition he has worked in adult education teaching ESL. He is a graduate of Leicester University and the University of Nottingham UK and holds the CELTA qualification.  During his 3 years of living in Hong Kong Mr Fawcett has taught ESL, KS2 and KS3 Science in an International Secondary School.

    Ms. E. Kent-Jones

    Miss Kent-Jones graduated from St. Mary’s College, Twickenham with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education. Since graduating, she has worked across Early Years and Key Stage 1 and 2, co-ordinating Art and History in mainstream schools. Previous to teaching she worked in a respite centre for children with Special Educational Needs.

     

    Since moving to Hong Kong, Miss Kent-Jones has taught in a partial inclusion unit attached to a mainstream international school, opening the unit and helping it expand over four years, as well as coordinating English for Key Stage 1 and 2.
