Miss McGinty graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education in 2011. She taught in the UK for 2 years before moving into international teaching in Qatar, where she spent a further 5 years. During her time in the Middle East, Miss McGinty worked as a Deputy Head of an Infants school. She loved this role as it allowed her to work alongside students and staff throughout the school and found it a very valuable experience for her future practice.
Miss McGinty joined our Sai Kung campus as an Upper Kindergarten teacher in August 2018. After her first year in Upper Kindergarten, she was appointed to be the Sai Kung Upper Kindergarten Year Group Leader. Miss McGinty loves teaching and strives to help all children in her class reach their full potential, while having lots of fun in a safe and nurturing environment! She particularly loves teaching Year One as she finds it amazing how far the children progress and change during their time in the year group.
In her spare time, Miss McGinty loves to be active and does this by playing sports (mainly netball), going to the gym, running and hiking the beautiful trails Hong Kong has to offer. She also loves socialising with friends and family and travelling to new and exciting places. Miss McGinty loves Hong Kong and feels very lucky to have it as her current home.
