Mr. Holt holds an MA in Education and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Modern Languages Specialism from the University of Hull as well as a BA (Hons) in Russian from Exeter University. He taught for a number of years in a primary school in Hull, England before moving to Nord Anglia in 2014 as a founding teacher when NAIS HK opened. He has been Head of Years 3, 4 & 5, before being appointed Assistant Head of Primary in 2020.
Mr. Holt enjoys building strong relationships between pupils, teachers, parents and colleagues at NAIS HK and believes this is fundamental to learning. He loves teaching and has the highest expectations of himself and his pupils. He endeavours to encourage independent, globally-minded pupils who are equipped for lifelong learning.
With three children, who are also at NAIS HK, he is a very busy person outside of school! When time allows, he enjoys running the stunning HK trails and competes in ultra-distance trail running races as well as kayaking. He is also a Scout leader in Sai Kung enabling young people to develop outdoor skills and teamwork.
