Mrs Brown believes intensely in ensuring pupils positive emotional and mental wellbeing and was promoted to the role of Principal Teacher of Pupil Support in 2012. Mrs Brown then moved to the Nord Anglia School in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2017 where she was employed as both a Drama Teacher and Key Stage 3 Co-ordinator. Mrs Brown was responsible for the Pastoral Care of all pupils in Key Stage 3, Secondary Transition and PSCHE.
Mrs Brown then moved to NAISHK in 2019 where she is currently both a Drama Teacher and the Head of Windsor House. Mrs Brown has created/led various pastoral support programmes during her career including; the Nurture Classroom, Emotional Literacy, Anger Management and Give Us A Break. Mrs Brown is also a fully qualified Nurture Teacher.
Mrs Brown is passionate regarding Child Protection and is Level 3 Safeguarding trained. She also has completed intensive training focusing on; Child Protection, ASSIST Suicide Prevention and Self-Harming. Mrs Brown thoroughly enjoys being a Drama Teacher and believes that by participating in Drama pupils are being provided with the opportunity to both grown in confidence and develop life skills.
Mrs Brown enjoys going to the theatre, reading and spending time with her family and friends. I am very excited about beginning my second year in Hong Kong!
