After completing her PGCE in 2005, Mrs Lane taught as a classroom teacher throughout Key Stage 1 in prep and boarding schools in the UK with additional responsibility for teaching primary level French. After moving to Switzerland with her young family, Mrs Lane taught for 9 years across a range of primary age groups ranging from Reception at a bilingual kindergarten through to Year 4 at the Swiss International School, Basel. Mrs Lane is excited to be joining NAISHK after teaching Year 3 for a year at the French International School here in Hong Kong.
Mrs Lane knew she wanted to teach from a young age after coaching gymnastics and swimming whilst in secondary school. She is committed, caring, creative and forward-thinking. Mrs Lane holds high expectations of each child and aims to inspire in children a passion for learning within a safe, fun and well-structured environment where each individual child has the opportunity to flourish and reach their full potential.
Mrs Lane enjoys spending her free time with family and friends and has two children who keep her very busy outside of school. Mrs Lane enjoys the outdoors and you can often find her running or relaxing on her SUP board. Mrs Lane loves to travel and is fascinated by languages, she also speaks French, Welsh and beginner-level German. As a BSAC scuba diving instructor, she has had the privilege to lead dives in many wonderful locations around the world including Wales, Malta, Spain, Egypt, The Maldives and Fiji although she is yet to add Hong Kong to the list!
