Ms. H. Ellis

2F Class Teacher

Miss Ellis graduated from the University of Cardiff with a BA Hons in Education and then completed her PGCE at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. Miss Ellis started her teaching career in London, teaching children of all abilities in Key Stage 1 before she moved to Hong Kong. Teaching in London gave her invaluable experience, and the challenges and rewards of developing individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.

Miss Ellis is enthusiastic about teaching and believes that bringing positive energy to the classroom nurtures an open and collaborative learning experience. She is also passionate about providing an inclusive education for pupils to maximise their potential. Miss Ellis prides herself on building close, supportive, relationships with her pupils by encouraging them to believe in themselves and try their best. In her classroom, she aims to engage, motivate and prepare her children for future life, and ensure that they benefit from as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible.

Miss Ellis has thoroughly enjoyed her last few years in Hong Kong and the opportunity that it has provided to travel and experience different cultures. She considers herself an active and energetic person, who has fallen in love with everything Hong Kong has to offer. In particular, living in Hong Kong has helped develop a passion for hiking and an outdoor lifestyle that enables her to reconnect with nature and challenge herself. She prides herself on bringing inspirational energy and enthusiasm into her teaching and ensuring that her pupils are not only engaged and motivated but also enjoy their time in her classroom, which is equally important.
