Mr. S. Calderwood

4D Class Teacher

Mr. Calderwood obtained his PGCE through the University of East London. His teaching experience started in Hong Kong as a NET (Native English Teacher), working with local schools for 2 years before joining Nord Anglia Hong Kong as an EAL Teacher and founding member of staff. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Calderwood completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Rhodes University, South Africa, where is also obtained his Honours Degree in Ichthyology.

Mr. Calderwood believes that high quality learning should be engaging and practical – children learn best when they are having fun. In his classroom, he strives to create an environment where children can grow in confidence, enjoy learning, and feel inspired to challenge themselves. Positive values are instilled into his teaching, as well as encouraging children to persevere – valuable skills for their development as global citizens.
