Assistant Head of Primary & 5E Class Teacher
Mr. Holt holds an MA in Education and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Modern Languages Specialism from the University of Hull as well as a BA (Hons) in Russian from Exeter University. He taught for a number of years in a primary school in Hull, England before moving to Nord Anglia in 2014 as a founding teacher when NAIS HK opened. He has been Head of Years 3, 4 & 5, before being appointed Assistant Head of Primary in 2020.

Head of Year 5 & 5B Class Teacher
Mrs. Thomson grew up in Lisbon, Portugal, where she studied Politics and Marketing Management, and began a career in Aviation and Marketing which led her to London in 2004. After a week volunteering with a children’s charity, Mrs Thomson decided on a career change and she gained her Primary GTP at the West London Partnership with Kingston University in 2007. Mrs. Thomson spent four years in the state sector followed by seven years in a Prep School, both in SW London, teaching a range of year groups within the primary sector. She specialised mainly in upper KS2 and led subjects such as French/MFL and, more recently, Maths. Currently in her 13th year of teaching and her 2nd at Nord Anglia in Hong Kong, Mrs Thomson loves to get involved in whole school initiatives, including helping with School Council and International Day.
5D Class Teacher
Miss Penrose graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in Social Sciences, before completing a PGCE at The University of Wales, Swansea. From here she moved to Richmond upon Thames, teaching first in an infant school, and then moving onto a four form entry primary school.
5C Class Teacher, Head of Caernarfon (Primary)
Mr. Cadman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economic Development and Planning from Coventry University and PGCE(Primary) from the University of Wales. He has taught in every year group within the Primary phase over the course of his 25 year career. He has held the position of Deputy Headteacher at 2 Primary schools in Wales and obtained his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in 2006. Mr Cadman also has experience of leadership and management in the Local Authority as Head of Behaviour Support Service. Before joining Nord Anglia International School HK, he spent 2 years in China as the Senior Operations Coordinator of a large International School.
5A Class Teacher
Miss Kinsman completed a degree in Early Childhood Education followed by her teaching qualification in the South of England. She will soon complete her Masters in International Education through King’s College London. In England, she taught Years 4, 5 and 6 across different schools. She recently taught Year 6 in a Nord Anglia School in Singapore.
