6A Class Teacher
Mr Barney holds a first-class degree in Primary Education from the University of Plymouth and during his time there he developed a passion for teaching students from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures. This was triggered first by setting up an EAL ECA at a local school for new refugee arrivals into the UK and later by volunteering at schools in the Czech Republic, Ghana and Morocco.

6B Class Teacher
Kate completed her Bachelor of Education in Limerick, Ireland. After graduating she has spent 10 years teaching in Ireland, gaining experience across the school as a classroom teacher and three years as a learning support teacher. She believes in creating a positive, respectful learning environment where children feel supported, encouraged to try new things and reach for their potential.
6C Primary Teacher
Miss Hetherington graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in English Language, before completing her PGCE at Northumbria University. She taught for 4 years in England before embarking on her international teaching journey, where she spent a further 4 years teaching within a British Independent school located in Valencia, Spain. She has held various teaching and learning responsibilities during the last 8 years which include: leading science, Modern Foreign Languages and Assessment for Learning, whilst also being appointed as a mentor to newly qualified teachers.
6E Class Teacher
Ms Leech completed a degree in English Literature at the University of York and was then a participant on the Teach First programme, earning a PGCE through University College London whilst teaching KS2 in a disadvantaged area of West London, with a focus on developing vocabulary and comprehension skills across the school. Upon completion of the Teach First Leadership Development Programme, Ms Leech taught KS2 at a knowledge-baed school in West London, and took on the roll of Deputy Head of Mathematics across three primary schools.
6D Class Teacher
Mr McArdle arrived to Nord Anglia in 2019, having spent the previous 7 years teaching in London. He has taught across a wide range of year groups and has lead Maths in Primary school. From Ireland, Fiachra graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Dublin City University, before completing his PGCE in the University of Cumbria. Now in his 4th year teaching Year 6, he brings a wealth of experience to the role.
6F Class Teacher
Mr O’Brien is from Cork City in Ireland, and has lived in the United Kingdom and Qatar. He graduated from University College Cork with a Bachelor of Law, and completed a PGCE course at the University of East London. He has taught at schools in Ilford and Stratford East, London and Qatar.
