Mr. E. Chan

Mr. E. Chan

EAL Teacher

Mr. Chan graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Teaching degree in primary education and completed his Master of Education from The University of Western Australia. He received his TESOL training from the Hong Kong Institute of Education and was an English Teacher in Hong Kong for over ten years before joining Nord Anglia in 2015.

During his career, he has had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of pupils from various backgrounds. As a result he is a compassionate teacher, who remains sensitive to a child’s unique needs. As an EAL teacher with experience in bilingualism, he understands the educational needs of Chinese EAL learners. In the classroom, his strengths are his ability to incorporate diverse activities and materials to engage and interest pupils with different learning styles.

Outside of school, Mr Chan enjoys heading out to the country parks for hiking and mountain biking, volunteering at animal shelters and spending time with friends and family.
