Mr Devlin has a strong and lifelong affiliation with Creative Arts; beginning at school in his native Ireland and continuing on to study at Foundation level with the University of Ulster, Belfast. Following this, Mr Devlin graduated with a BA Hons in Art and Design with the University of Leeds before finally going on to complete a PGCE in Art and Design with John Moores University in the city of Liverpool. These years spent exploring a broad range of media and disciplines allowed Mr Devlin to then teach a wide variety of courses and approaches in his first teaching position at a secondary school in Camden, London, where he lived and worked for six years.
Being a keen traveler,Mr Devlin emigrated to São Paulo, Brazil, where he continued to teach art with all Key Stages in Saint Nicholas International School. This highly rewarding experience allowed him the opportunity to explore the South American continent and also study and use the Portuguese language. This interest in Latin languages continued when later living and teaching in the beautiful region of Málaga, south Spain.
In Hong Kong, Mr Devlin enjoys exploring the various islands and areas outside of the main city, hiking where possible and sketching surroundings and observations. In future, he would like to learn methods in making some local cuisine and also gain knowledge of everyday Cantonese and Mandarin.
