Having studied Linguistics at La Trobe and Monash Universities, Mrs. Turner-Fall taught English for British Council Indonesia and Senegal and The French International School of Beijing in the late nineties and early 2000s. After completing her PGCE and an MA in English Literature, she worked at Harrow International School Beijing and Hong Kong, respectively, as Head of EAL and English Teacher for seven years. Widening her experience to include IB, Mrs. Turner-Fall completed a Graduate Certificate in the IB Diploma Program at the University of Melbourne in 2013. She then worked short-term at several international schools across Hong Kong teaching English, Drama, History, PRS, and TOK before taking up full-time IB MYP and DP English Teacher and Extended Essay Coordinator roles at The ISF Academy in 2016.
As an English teacher, Mrs. Turner-Fall is passionate about helping her students develop their reading habits to ensure that every student is reading at or above grade level. She agrees wholeheartedly with writer Stephen King when he says, "If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around these two things that I'm aware of, no shortcut."
Being Australian, Mrs. Turner-Fall loves outdoor sports and activities. She spends her weekends playing or watching cricket, football, rugby, and tennis, as well as swimming and cooking with her four children.
