Ms. K. Bennett

Head of History

Miss Bennett studied History at the University of Greenwich before completing her PGCE at Durham University. After finishing her NQT year, she studied her MA Education at Durham University part-time while teaching full time in which she implemented her research into her teaching practices. Prior to moving to Nord Anglia Hong Kong, she had taught in Malaysia for two years. Across her career so far, she has taught Geography, History, Politics and Psychology. 

Miss Bennett is passionate to deliver a holistic educational philosophy, focusing on the importance of critical thinking skills in History, providing opportunities for students to work with and learn from each other, and encouraging students to create their own interpretation of events. She also encourages the development of soft skills through a focus on student oracy and enjoys contributing towards an extra-curricular programme. 

In her spare time, Miss Bennett enjoys going hiking, doing yoga, going to the theatre, and visiting places of historical and cultural significance.
