Ms Alexander is passionate about giving every individual student the opportunity to thrive, and believes in experential learning; having had two businesses and a football club that she founded, she has personally felt the benefit of this form of development. Her inspiration to become an educator came from working as a professional soccer coach in New England, where she saw the impact education can have on a child's motivation. She believes strongly in educating the whole child, with the aim of developing well rounded, confident adults who contribute in a positive, socially aware manner to the world around us.
She has three cats that she rescued from the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, where she worked with local NGOs in helping to rescue and educate people in animal rescue (or when to leave them alone) and care. She was an avid football player until an injury ended her long career as a player and coach.
