Mr. Ankers holds a PGCE in Secondary Modern Languages from The University of Chester in the UK, in addition to a BA in Modern Languages and Cultures from Durham University. He has experience in teaching the British National Curriculum, which he has gained through working in schools in Merseyside in the UK. Prior to teaching, Mr Ankers worked in the E-Commerce industry, working with a portfolio of international clients, in which his linguistic abilities were a great asset in establishing strong relationships all over the world.
Mr. Ankers is a huge linguaphile, having studied 4 foreign languages throughout his life, including French, Spanish, German and Italian. He aims to bring that passion for language learning to his students through providing highly-engaging lessons which enable students to self-regulate their own motivation and develop a genuine interest in learning foreign languages. As a result of his experiences which have been facilitated by foreign languages, Mr. Ankers aims to ensure his students are aware of the opportunities that can be made available to those who are multilingual.
Mr. Ankers is from a small town in the north-west of the UK, situated between Liverpool and Manchester, two vibrant and international cities which he is proud to call home. Mr Ankers has also spent time living in Barcelona and Berlin, which he would say have further influenced his desire to travel. Outside of school, Mr. Ankers enjoys exploring Hong Kong, cultural activities such as cooking classes and learning new languages.
