Ms. Skibsted trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she gained a Bachelor of Honours degree in Applied Theatre. She then completed her PGCE in Secondary Drama and English at the Institute of Education, UCL. Ms. Skibsted has lived in Hong Kong for over 5 years, teaching Drama and English in local schools. Prior to teaching at NAIS, she also worked for a variety of theatre companies which brought drama projects, workshops and professional theatre shows to schools and theatres in Hong Kong. Ms. Skibsted has performed professionally as a trained actress on stage in both the UK and in Hong Kong.
Ms. Skibsted is passionate about theatre and education and strives to ensure that every child has access to the arts. She is a strong advocate for Drama education and believes it is essential in building vital life skills that children will need such as confidence, language and communicative skills, emotional intelligence and helping children to understand the world around them. Ms. Skibsted has brought this passion to NAIS HK where she is thoroughly enjoying teaching and developing the current Drama curriculum.
Outside of school, Ms. Skibsted enjoys going to the theatre, singing, and travelling!
