Mark Dolan graduated from the University of Durham in 2005 and has been teaching Mathematics for over 10 years. He has worked in London, Mexico City, Seoul and most recently our sister Nord Anglia school in Shanghai, delivering Higher Level Mathematics as part of the IB curriculum.
As a teacher Mr. Dolan believes in giving students the opportunity to investigate and discover the world of mathematics and endeavours to ensure students construct deep understanding of the topics as well as being able to apply that knowledge to solving problems.
In addition to a passion for mathematics, Mr. Dolan is an experienced Theory of Knowledge teacher, helping students develop their critical thinking skills by encouraging them to question the world around them. This demand for rigour and logic bleeds over into the Mathematics class.
Outside of school he is a keen climber who tries to get out on rock whenever the opportunity presents. He is also an occasional guitarist and loves to get involved with performance and music events.
