Ms. O. Harper

Olivia Harper

Science Teacher, Caernarfon B House Tutor

Ms Harper graduated from the University of Sheffield with a first-class Masters of Biological Sciences. She then taught in London as part of the Teach First graduate program,  whilst studying for a Post Graduate Certificate of Education specialising in Secondary Science teaching. After qualifying in 2016 she gained leadership experience as Head of Biology in London, and as Science Coordinator in Chiang Mai, Thailand, before joining NAIS HK.

Ms Harper is passionate about science teaching because it encourages and challenges students to look at the world around them. She believes the classroom should be led by questions the students bring and must involve practical investigations wherever possible to stimulate discovery and discussions.

In her spare time Ms Harper enjoys exploring her environment by any means possible; sailing, hiking, cycling, diving, and is looking to expand this list further while living in Hong Kong!
