Highlights from our secondary school this month

Update from our Head of Secondary

I hope you are enjoying our updates and getting a glimpse of the real learning taking place in our school every day. I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate some of our outstanding students.

Nord Anglia Visual Arts Competition

Each year, the Nord Anglia Education family of schools hosts a Visual Arts Competition where students of all ages from our 61 schools worldwide are invited to submit a piece based on a set theme. This year, the competition focussed on Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 16, quality education and peace, justice and strong institutions, and challenges students to show what these goals mean to them. UNICEF supported the judging of the competition. ICS Grade 8 student, Daniela Martinez, won with her painting ‘Just Breathe’. As you can see she has amazing artistic talent and her painting will be showcased in New York during the United Nation's High Level Political Forum in July this year. Congratulations Daniela!

We're also looking forward to hearing the winners of the Nord Anglia Creative Writing Competition soon.

Arts in London with Grade 8

They went to various landmarks, visited many museums saw the West End Show ‘Wicked’ and danced at the Pineapple Dance Studios. An all round trip wonderfully organised and led by Ms Hodgson and Mr BT.
