I received [my child’s] study report yesterday and I am very happy to see her progress. We came to Madrid from Shanghai, China, thousands of miles away, hoping to create a better future for our children. Of course, the education in Shanghai, China is also very good, but we hope that she has an international perspective and has the ability to think. We sent her to your school for this purpose. It seems that we are slowly getting closer to this goal. She has never loved learning so much. In fact, we have always worried that she will not be able to adapt to the foreign education environment and cannot integrate into the team. After all, we are not from an English-speaking country. I have always been worried about her communication.
I am very grateful to the teachers and classmates for their help. Thank you! Above, because my language is not very good, so I used translation software, hoping to express what I want to express. Thanks again!
Letter from a Secondary School Parent
The EAL Program teaches English through content areas to students who have not reached academic proficiency in English. In Primary and Secondary, EAL teachers support students as they develop English skills needed to access and participate fully in the IB curriculum. The program provides small group instruction and in-class support to students in grades 1-12. This is based on educational research and best practice in international schools around the world. Students who are identified as requiring EAL support will join the EAL program. Additional fees apply.
