The Juilliard School in New York is internationally renowned for its performing arts programme.

Our unique collaboration gives students access to exceptional performing arts opportunities that are delivered by our outstanding teachers. The programme is designed for all our students – those with career aspirations both in and beyond the arts. Your child will benefit from the magic of dance, drama, and music, while those with existing passions will learn more thanks to our innovative approach to teaching.

Our collaboration offers unparalleled opportunities to learn new skills, too. From building our students’ confidence and unlocking self-expression, to an immersion in – and appreciation for – different cultures. We know how important the performing arts are to our students’ development, both personally and academically.

Our students also have the chance to take part in the Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard programme. Students gain an in-depth understanding of music, dance, and drama, and build lasting relationships with new friends who share their passions. One-of-a-kind programmes designed by Juilliard and taught by their teachers offer students an inspiring and fun-filled experience during term time and in the holidays.

Our teachers reap the benefits of being trained by the world’s best performing arts educators. Juilliard Curriculum Specialists encourage collaboration and professional development through regular communication and school visits.

Creativity and thinking ‘outside the box’ lead to discoveries that transform our world in amazing ways. Our collaboration with MIT introduces our students to interdisciplinary science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths (STEAM) learning, which enables real-world problem solving, develops inquisitive innovators, and nurtures a lifelong love of experimentation and investigation.

Your child will enjoy the thrill of working with fellow students to tackle the same problems worked on by MIT professors and researchers. Forexample, thousands of Nord Anglia students from around the world developed filtration devices to be used on Mars after being challenged by Dr Jeff Hoffman, a former astronaut.

Each year, our STEAM students show that natural curiosity, when inspired by great minds through our MIT collaboration, can produce mind-blowing results.  Our approach to STEAM sees our students explore challenges through university-inspired teaching and hands-on activities. We give them the space to embrace collaboration and creativity, and to develop the skills they need to thrive in our rapidly changing world.

Many of our teachers receive expert training from renowned MIT researchers and academics. Workshops with leading engineers and scientists cover subjects ranging from climate change and bioengineering to space exploration.   Learn more about MIT at mit.edu

We empower our students to make a difference, both in our local community and globally. Our collaboration with UNICEF helps us do this through challenges and learning materials based on the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which encourage them to think about how they can effect real change.

The SDGs form the basis of our Social Impact Programme and our annual Global Challenge. This is a chance for our students to tackle environmental projects and make a positive change in the local community – even learning how to turn plants into biofuel. We also use activities surrounding World Children’s Day to educate our students about their rights, how to protect them, and how to advocate for those who may not have a voice.

For students interested in international policymaking, our collaboration enables them to meet and interact with UN and government leaders at the UN High Level Political Forum. Student ambassadors take part in seminars and workshops, and debate, speak, and effect change at the UN’s headquarters in New York.
