Jorge García Lamelas from Grade 8 has been taking the performing world by storm! We are very proud to announce that he is currently starring in “Billy Elliot The Musical” as the title character.

Jorge began studying dance, singing and the performing arts at age 6. He started his artistic studies at ESAEM, a performing arts college in Málaga, where he learned classic dance, Spanish dance, hip hop, singing and the performing arts.

He had a leading role in the movie “Fátima,” which was filmed in Portugal in 2018. This same year he also participated in the prestigious Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard programme, which took place in Geneva.

In summer 2019 he attended a summer camp at Stage Door Manor in New York, where he played the main actor in the musical “Big Fish”. Then, In November 2019 Jorge travelled to the Vatican with the Design for Change children’s group. He had the amazing opportunity to dance in front of a crowd of over 2,000 people in the Paul VI hall at the Vatican with the Pope looking on.
