As a school community we are active in supporting charitable organisations and achieving positive change.
We support many local organisations and children and staff alike actively engage in raising money and awareness for them throughout each academic year. Events we organise include our annual Winter and Summer Fairs, Christmas Gift Giving, Talent Shows and various donation drives.
Each of our School Houses also supports a particular charity which the children get involved with:
Normans: Beautiful Gate - centre for physically handicapped children and adults.
Saxons: Furry Friends Farm - animal sanctuary for rescued stray dogs, puppies, cats and kittens and other animals that are abandoned, neglected or abused.
Vikings: Lautu Education Center - a Burmese refugee providing education to children. It is a part of the Malaysia Lautu Christian Fellowship, supported by UN.
Romans: Trinity Children's Centre - an orphanage in KL which shelters for neglected or abandoned children.
Through these charitable initiatives and community work, the children at BSKL glean a greater understanding of how they can help those less fortunate than themselves and grow up with an understanding and commitment to citizenship both close to home and in a much wider context.
