Our U11 Lions made a fantastic start to the FOBISIA Games with an unforgettable first day of Athletics and Swimming. From the moment the competition began, the team showed determination, teamwork, and incredible spirit. In Athletics, the Lions achieved an outstanding 26 medals across track and field events, highlighting the strength and depth of our squad. Our Athletics captains, Isla and Teddy, led from the front with inspiring performances. Teddy secured Bronze medals in the 100m and Boys Relay, while Isla shone with Gold in Long Jump and Bronze in both Triple Jump and High Jump.
In the pool, Yu Tyng and Hayley added valuable medals to the tally, while our Swimming captains, Hanna and Juha, were exceptional role models throughout the day. Hanna delivered immense performances in the pool, and Juha fearlessly took on some of the toughest events, leading by example with courage and determination. The perfect ending to a brilliant opening day came with the entire team celebrating together by jumping into the pool as one.
Day 2 brought an incredible display of Tee-ball from both our A and B Teams. Throughout the group stages, both teams showed composure under pressure and played with confidence to earn their places in the Semi Finals. The B Team impressed with outstanding fielding against Shrewsbury Bangkok, while the A Team produced excellent batting to defeat Dover Court Singapore.
The B Team then battled their way into the Final against the International School Brunei in a thrilling contest that went right down to the final few runs. Despite narrowly losing by just three runs, the team’s determination, teamwork, and resilience were outstanding, and we could not have been prouder of their achievement in reaching the Final.
The A Team were also on fire throughout the tournament, producing steady results to secure their place in the Final. They led the first innings by two runs before play was unfortunately delayed due to the weather. Returning the next day full of focus and determination, the team picked up exactly where they left off and out-batted Shrewsbury Bangkok to become FOBISIA Tee-ball champions!
Day 3 saw both the boys’ and girls’ football teams ready and excited for one of their favourite events of the Games. The girls dominated their group stages, mercy-ruling two teams by scoring five goals and comfortably topping their group to progress into the Semi Finals. The boys also battled brilliantly, securing two wins and a draw to earn their own place in the Semi Finals.
Both teams faced Dover Court Singapore in their Semi Finals. The girls produced another excellent performance to book their place in the Final, while the boys fought hard in a close contest but narrowly lost 2–1.
The girls’ Final against British School Shanghai, Puxi was an unforgettable match. After a tense 1–1 draw, the game went to penalties. Our girls showed incredible confidence under pressure, with captain Yu Tyng stepping into goal to save one penalty while also scoring one herself. In the decisive moment, Isla calmly scored the winning penalty to crown our girls back-to-back FOBISIA champions!
The boys also finished the tournament strongly, defeating British School Shanghai, Puxi 3–1 to secure well-deserved Bronze medals.
Across all three days, our Lions demonstrated outstanding teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship, and school pride, creating memories and achievements that will not be forgotten. Thank you to parent community for supporting the Lions, and our fantastic PE teachers Miss Beacroft, Mrs Sackley, Mr Booth and Mr Carus for their hard work and dedication.
